NaUKMA and CRDF continue their partnership program in cyber security education and cyber defense for ATO veterans and university students

As demand for cyber security and cyber defense professionals rises, National University “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy” has joined a partnership with CRDF, a non-profit organization supported by the US Department of State, in the program “Cyber Defenders”.

The need for cybersecurity professionals has grown exponentially worldwide, but in Ukraine, it has urgent urgent ramifications in the current environment of military and cyber aggression. The program offers an opportunity to study and practice safety, security, and sustainability through science, innovation, and collaboration. Students include law enforcement officers, computer science-related personnel, and business personnel, and also veterans who need to enhance their expertise in cybercrime and cybersecurity.

As of September 2021, NaUKMA is implementing another joint project with the CRDF to raise awareness and increase the general level of knowledge in the field of cybersecurity. The program "Basic safety rules in the digital environment" was developed in collaboration with the Ernst & Young (EY) cybersecurity expert group in Ukraine and Tecnomatix technical experts with the assistance of the US State Department.

To date, more than 700 Mohyla students have successfully completed the course, gaining critical cybersecurity skills in today's online environment, joining 5,373 students from 12 other leading Ukrainian universities.

Kyiv-Mohyla Academy continues to be an active participant in socially important projects to provide leaders to strengthen Ukraine’s territorial, political, and economic security.
