Establish an Endowment
You can create your own legacy and set up an Endowment fund in your name, to provide income for the University long after your lifetime and in perpetuity. The Kyiv-Mohyla fund is part of the Chicago Community Trust Endowment Program, which offers the advantages of experienced investment strategies and reducing risk. Donations are fully tax-deductible for U.S. residents, the principal of the Kyiv-Mohyla Endowment will remain in the United States, and the annual income will go to the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy in perpetuity and forever to be spent in a manner designated by you.
Beneficiary Designations
Also, you may want to consider a beneficiary designation in your life insurance program or trust to support KMFA after your lifetime. You simply contact your retirement or life insurance plan administrator and request a beneficiary designation form. Then, name Kyiv-Mohyla Foundation of America as a beneficiary to receive retirement assets or life insurance proceeds after your lifetime. The form provided to you is entirely separate from your will.
