KMA students join the Computer Science Program at the University of Toronto and publish their research.

Last year Kyiv-Mohyla Academy welcomed more than 1000 new students and this year we are ready to meet entrants on campus again. About 1000 people, including entrants and their families, attended Open Day on Academy’s campus on May 27.

From Kyiv to the US: a delegation from the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy visited Chicago, Washington DC, Edmonton, and Toronto to thank supporters, meet with Kyiv-Mohyla Alumni, engage with officials of U.S. and Canadian universities, and establish collaborative contacts.

This year, the faculty and students decided to celebrate the department’s 23rd anniversary by arranging events to fundraise for Ukraine’s Armed Forces

On March 2, Kyiv Mohyla Academy hosted key members of Ukraine’s Parliament for the presentation of the “Draft Law on Academic Integrity”. Dr. Serhiy Kvit, president of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, and former minister of education and science hosted and moderated the event.

On the 4th of February, students arranged an exhibition of posters from peaceful demonstrations, which the community of the Kyiv-Mohyla Family attended.

We wish to thank and honor the heroes from the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy who gave their lives in defense of freedom so that we all can live free. We honor their love for Ukraine.

While russia is trying to destroy Ukrainians as a nation, our youth is recalling Ukrainian culture. From November 28 to December 3, the charity festival "300 minutes about Skovoroda" took place on the campus of the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, on the 300th anniversary of one of the Academy's most famous students, the Ukrainian philosopher Hryhoriy Skovoroda.

Dr. Serhiy Kvit, president of the National University Kyiv-Mohyla Academy visited the USA to share how the university is working now in the year of war with 5000 students.

A team of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy students decided to organize Ukraїnian Week to show Torontonians that there is more to our invincible country than the war. 

Eventually, the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy officially accepted more than 1100 new students into its big family. The university is ready to educate freshmen and keep developing to build Ukraine’s future even now, during this unpredictable war.

Even though the war still goes on, Ukraine continues to present its history and culture through art. On the 24th of August, Ukraine’s Independence Day, the “Sniper: The White Raven” movie about KMA alumnus was released.
